This piece features an engraved poetic verse: “Enduring honor, lasting happiness, and the fulfillment of all that the soul desires.”
The verse is inspired by a historical doorway inscription from Al-Qasr Islamic City in the Dakhla Oasis, where it was carved above the entrance of a judge’s house one of many surviving thresholds that reflect the richness of Islamic heritage. Al-Qasr was once a key stop for pilgrims and trade caravans traveling from North Africa to the Hijaz, carrying with it layers of history and stories.

This design brings that idea into a contemporary setting. Placed at the entrance of your home, in the same position where these words once lived, it becomes more than a functional object, it becomes an extension of the threshold itself, marking every arrival and every departure.
